City Branch Pickup - FALL PICKUP IS COMPLETE. SPRING PICKUP BEGINS MAY 6!
The City's fall branch pickup program is now complete! Residents who still require branch/yard waste pickup can take advantage of Waste Management's yard waste program, which is included in regular service and is available until the first full week of December.
Waste Management Service
Waste Management will pick up your brush/branches if bundled correctly on your designated garbage day.
Waste Management requirements are as follows:
Branches must be securely bundled.
Bundles must weigh less than 50 pounds.
Bundles must not be longer than 4 feet in length.
Branches must not be more than 5 inches in diameter.
You may also put your brush/branches in Kraft bags.
The City maintains parkway trees year-round but is proud to offer this additional biannual service to allow residents to dispose of tree branches and brush resulting from yard work performed on private property.
Spring clean-up will start the first Monday in May, and fall clean-up will start the first Monday in October.
To participate in this program, residents must place their branches at the edge of the parkway, cut ends facing the street, PRIOR to the start date. Crews will make one pass through the City, which can take up to two weeks to complete.
The City does not pick up branches any other time of year. Residents in need of branch disposal outside of the City’s program dates must utilize Waste Management’s yard waste program. Leaving branches in a parkway or on other City property indefinitely will result in a Code Enforcement citation.
