Ben Benson

Ben Benson was appointed Lockport’s City Administrator in August 2013 by the City Council. Prior to his appointment, Ben served the City of Joliet for almost ten years as the Assistant City Administrator (2010-2013), Director of Marketing & Communications (2008-2010), and Executive Director/Founder of the Joliet Visitors Bureau (2004-2008). As part of his duties as the City Administrator, Ben supervises a staff of over 100 FTE employees and an operating budget of over $30M for the City of Lockport. Ben received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. Ben is married and has two children.
