Electric Aggregation Program

After a competitive bid process, the City of Lockport, along with 14 other communities, have selected Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. (“Constellation”) as the preferred supplier for its Electric Aggregation Program.

Beginning, October 2018, this 36-month program offers a fixed rate of 7.517¢/kWh for the term of October 2018 through October 2021 meter read cycles. The fixed price offered does not include taxes, ComEd distribution or other ComEd fees, charges or credit.

Letters to opt-in or opt-out of the program, depending on customer status, have been mailed to City residents.

Opt-in / Opt-out Letters

Opt-in letters were sent to individuals who are already with a third party supplier. These customers will not be automatically enrolled, but you will have the option to enroll if you choose.

Opt-out letters were sent to all the customers who are currently enrolled in the program, or those who are ComEd customers. These customers will be automatically enrolled unless you choose to opt out.

The City is providing a copy of the Opt-In Letter and Opt-Out Letter so residents can easily identify that these letters are part of the Electrical Aggregation Program.

Community Aggregation Price: 7.515¢/kWh for 36 months beginning October 2018. 100% carbon-free power (a mix of nuclear and clean energy credits).
