Board of Police Commissioners hires and promotes sworn police officers of the Lockport Police Department. The commissioners are also tasked with disciplinary issues, if need be, based on a recommendation by the Chief of Police. The Board of Police Commissioners consists of three (3) appointed members each serving three (3) year terms.
Meets: 3rd Wednesday of every month (due to the pandemic, the regular meeting schedule of the Board of Police Commissioners will continue to be "on call". If required, in-person virtual meetings, and agenda's of said meeting(s) will be posted 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting on the City website.) Time: 6:00 p.m.
